INFORMATION ABOUT OUR 2021 SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

Adam Beery

Adam Beery

Adam Beery, a Rootstown High School graduate, will attend Ohio University and major in education with a concentration in integrated science. He participated in baseball, basketball and football. He hopes to coach and make the same kind of positive impact as his mentors have made on him.

His guidance counselor defined Adam’s best qualities as “leader, focused, intelligent and kind.” A coach says, “He is a young man of character, intelligence and talent.”

Jessica Nuber

Jessica Nuber wants to make a difference in the lives of middle school students and will major in Middle Childhood Education at Kent State University. During her time at Streetsboro High School, she has been involved in many volunteer school and community activities.

A teacher is impressed with her “focus on leadership positions, time-management skills and exceptional classroom performance.” Another teacher says, “Her blend of personality, humor and intelligence are truly memorable.”

Abigail Pincoe

Abigail Pincoe

Abigail Pincos will attend Bowling Green State University and major in Early Childhood Education. Ever since she was very young, this Streetsboro High School student had a passion for working with younger children. She is near the top of her graduating class and has taken many honors courses.

A teacher reports that, “She sets goals and expects excellence in all that she does.” Another teacher commends Abigail’s effort “to learn, grow and exceed” and praises her kindness.

                                                                                                              Julia Laudato plans to use her qualities of leadership, hard work and devotion to help others as an intervention specialist. She will attend Lake Erie College. She has been active in athletics and several volunteer service activities at Streetsboro High School.

A reference calls Julia “a ‘blue chip’ who exemplifies excellence, integrity and compassion.” Another teacher recalls, “Her resume of accomplishments is impressive, but her personality stands out as a kind and gentle person.”
